This past weekend — for those of you who keep up with college football — you may have seen Virginia Tech running back J.C. Coleman wearing a big gold watch in the game against Ohio State.
Onlookers quickly argued it was a Rolex or an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. Our take: It was a gold-tone G-Shock watch. Coleman had already worn a black G-Shock during the pre-season games.
It's not against the rules to wear a watch during a game, but it's something that's rarely seen. The Casio G-Shock — maybe the Gold X Black or the new Benny Gold watch — is water resistant to 200 meters and is a standard of durability and reliability.
