Come Meet the TUDOR North Flag Watches

Tudor, a brand we are pleased to carry in our stores, has a rich history in diving, exploration and 20th century expeditions. The brand’s North Flag collection recalls those activities thanks to its rugged style and new movement.

The watches in this collection are 40mm timepieces crafted of a monobloc stainless steel middle case and sapphire crystal and caseback. The watch features a screw-down crown to offer water resistance to 100 meters. There are two versions in the line, one with a solid steel bracelet (with satin-finished link surfaces) and the other with a matte black leather strap with yellow stitching and lining.

A technical advancement, the Manufacture movement MT5621 was developed in house. Visible via a sapphire caseback, the movement of this watch instrument depicts a finished caliber with sand blasting and sunray details. We invite you in any time to see the North Flag line and the other distinguished Tudor collections.

Halloween Delights: Bell & Ross Unveils BR01 Skull Bronze

Bell & Ross is known for its exceptional timepieces, particularly the bold square BR01 collection of watches. Now, the brand unveils the BR01 Skull Bronze — a new icon whose bronze 46mm case references the legendary military codes of the past, but in contemporary style.

In 2009, Bell & Ross introduced its first Skull BR 01 watch — a talisman timepiece that keeps collectors coming back. This new version, with its distinctive character, pays tribute to the parachutists of the Second World War. On their jump-suits, these elite fighters wore a crest bearing a skull and the words: "Death from Above." Today, the emblem of the skull continues to figure on a lot of military equipment, and this watch pays tribute to that.

The BR 01 houses a self-winding movement. A screw-down crown makes the watch water resistant to 100 meters. The watch features golden indices shaped like spikes. The skull in the middle of the dial glows in the dark thanks to the use of applied B-light photoluminescent pigment, and a special tanning technique has been used on the leather strap to give it a worn effect. Just 500 pieces will be made. We have a nice collection of Bell & Ross watches that we invite you in to see anytime you want.

Rolex Unveils New Caliber and Updated President's Day-Date

Watch collectors and watch lovers alike all have a grand affinity for Rolex. This brand has been on the cutting edge of time since its inception. After all, Rolex did introduce the first water resistant watch, the Oyster, back in the 1920s and made headlines around with world with it when Mercedes Gleitz swam the English Channel wearing the watch, which still worked when she emerged from the water.

Then, in 1956, the brand unveiled the Rolex Day-Date watch – created by founder Hans Wilsdorf. The watch is also often referred to as the President’s watch because of the great number of important presidents and socialites who have worn it.

Now, Rolex brings its famed Day-Date model to new heights consistent with the 21st century. The brand has built the all-new Caliber 3255 mechanical movement that further underscores the dial description of “Superlative Chronometer.”

The caliber, which was years in the making, surpasses the criteria developed by the COSC for certified chronometers thanks to a new chronometrically precise mechanical system. In fact, the technology in this timepiece holds 14 individual patents. The bidirectional self-winding Caliber 3255 beats at 4 Hz (or 28,800 vibrations per hour), and consists of several cool new inventions that are typical of Rolex’s innovative and advanced spirit. Among them are the following: the blue Parachrom hairspring, large balance wheel with variable inertia weights, state-of-the-art Chronergy escapement with Paramagnetic nickel-phosphorus pallet fork and escape wheel. For rugged functionality, the movement also is equipped with high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers. All of these inventions together make this timepiece both more accurate and more efficient – with 70 hours of power reserve.

The new Day-Date watches are offered with either a top-quality leather strap or with the much-loved President’s bracelet, which has also been improved and updated with features such as ceramic inserts inside the link, and a concealed attachment to the case – both for added wear and durability. The watch will be created in a 40mm version that will complement the existing 36mm version, and will be offered in yellow gold and platinum.
